The 7th International Conference on Next Generation Mobile Applications, Services and Technologies (NGMAST2013) will be hosted by the Czech Technical University in the beautiful city of Prague following the significant success of previous conferences in Paris (2012), Cardiff (2007, 08,09,11) and Amman (2010). Following the established tradition, NGMAST'13 will focus on all novel aspects of technology, application and service development within the Mobile and Wireless Communications community. It aims to bring together a wide spectrum of international experts from the fields of research, business and policy, to facilitate a creative forum for the promotion of collaboration and knowledge transfer. Smarter and greener environments are essential to address economic, social, and environmental challenges due to the increase in urbanization, requiring informed decisions based on Internet of Things (IoT) generated data. Rapidly, more and more devices are being added to the networks. Estimations show that by the end of 2020 there will be 50 billion connected devices to the IoT world-wide. Almost any kind of these devices will be allowed to seamlessly integrate into a large-scale Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication environment.
